For the first time ever, you can experience the beauty of Indawgyi with stand-up paddle boards. Easily sit, kneel, or stand while exploring the rich biodiversity of the shoreline or go out and take a swim in the cool, deep water at the lake’s center. Each board rental comes with a waterproof bag and life jacket.

Sut Mai Aung, a local team member, offers some of the only available trekking currently in Kachin State - and this means untamed trails that go through secondary and primary growth forest in the southern mountains of Indawgyi. Learn about plants, birds, gibbons, and other animals native to these mountains - Kachin-style lunch included.

Glide across the water on a motorboat ride to Shwe Myintzu Pagoda, the lake’s most famous landmark, which seems as if it floats on the surface of the lake.

Bureo Skateboards recycles discarded fishing nets into skateboards - and for a truly unique experience, you can skateboard the highway and hills along the lake’s western shore. Whether it’s your first time skateboarding or not, it is a fun way to visit surrounding villages and see the lake!

For the most peaceful sunset boat tour, accompany one of the many families on their boat as they place shrimp traps out on the lake every evening.

The real taste of Indawgyi - fill up on local Shan-ni favorites like hin baun, a vegetable curry, and hin law, a hearty steamed dish with Indawgyi fish or pork, using fresh ingredients from the nearby forest. Alcohol not included.

Explore the picturesque mountaintop or lakeside pagodas near Lone Ton Village with a self-guided tour. Ket Jaw, the mountaintop pagoda, provides the best 360 panoramic view of Indawgyi valley while Hopa, the lakeside pagoda, is great for swimming.

Natural hot springs bubble up in a few hidden places around Indawgyi. One of the more famous ones near Ywathit Gyi Village attracts people from all over northern Myanmar for its healing powers. They offer tubs where you can adjust to temperatures of your choice and a beautiful waterfall for all visitors to enjoy.
